Ground Effects successfully treated municipal waste water exceeding discharge and reuse criteria.

The Situation

Many small communities are seeking long term solutions for the treatment of municipal waste water. Each year in North America generates millions of cubic meters of contaminated waste water daily. Due to the stringent regulator criteria for waters discharge or reuse, waters must meet or exceed these parameters.

As such many technologies exist for water treatment to try to manage the copious quantities of waste water, however they are extremely expensive, time consuming and can be operationally difficult to manage.

The Solution

The EPT EOX technology can treat the wide variety of contaminants within the waste stream to below criteria, without the use of chemicals. The reuse of water allows surrounding area to minimize the use of fresh water for such things as irrigation.

The EPT EOX Results

  • Population 15,000
  • Flow Rate: 1000gpm
  • Chemical Free continuous treatment of municipal waste water
  • Following treatment, the cleaned water can now be reused for irrigation in the area and direct discharge to creek
  • Easily expanded for growing communities
  • Reduced footprint and operating costs compared to chemical or membrane technologies
